Japan Rail Pass - The convenient,

The JAPAN RAIL PASS offers overseas travellers excellent value and convenience, allowing the pass holders unlimited travel on almost* all JR lines as well as many JR buses and ferries and is valid for all regions of Japan. It's possible to ride the bullet trains (Shinkansen) all the way from Hokkaido to Kyushu. The Japan Rail Pass is available for 7, 14, and 21-day periods. Japan Rail Pass is also valid for travel on the Tokyo Monorail.

*In order to use super express service bullet trains, called Nozomi and Mizuho, an additional ticket is required.
