Want To Know The Secret Of Abeno Harukas?

June 13, 2016

What is the highest building in Japan? It's Abeno Harukas in Osaka, which is as high as 300 meters. The building looks gorgeous and fantastic, and its 60 floors are supported by state-of-the-art technologies.

The special "Abeno Harukas Adventure Tour" offers more than just a sightseeing attraction. It lets you explore the backyard of this building which you normally are not allowed to enter.

In this tour, you can see and learn about things such as

  • a stairwell as high as 100 meters which creates comfortable, soft lights on the floors
  • environmental technologies such as a biogas facility, which extracts methane gas from the garbage and generates energy
  • mega braces as high as about 13 meters which make the whole building earthquake-resistant
  • a specially designed mega pendulum on the 56th floor that prevents the building from shaking on the upper floors

Not only can you uncover the secret of Abeno Harukas, but also command a beautiful view from the observatory "Harukas300", which is located on the 58-60th floors, after the tour.
