Tokyo Marathon After Run Party

Finishing a marathon is hard work. What better way to reward the runners than with a party? The post-marathon celebrations, organized by DMC Japan and taking place in Happo-en, were a fabulous chance for participants to have fun with their fellow runners while experiencing the best of Japanese culture.

At this special Japan-themed party, participants feasted on delicious food such as sushi, tempura, and sukiyaki. That night, stylish kimono-clad staff served sake, and attendees enjoyed the beautiful Japanese garden and tea house. February is typically early for cherry blossoms, but the foyer was ablaze with blooms we specially ordered from Kawazu, as sakura season begins earlier there.

There was, of course, an awards ceremony – it was a night to celebrate everyone who finished the race, and to specially recognize athletes who managed to complete 6 major marathons! In between, guests could enjoy various performances throughout the night, such as maiko dances and fabulously energetic Japanese taiko drums performances. There were even DJs curating a great music mix, so everyone could dance the night away!

Why not go the extra mile for your guests?
